Mike was the founder of the team. It all began when Mike stumbled accross the Mongol Rally website, and was intrigued by the idea of going on an adventure. Despite a tricky start, and difficulties finding anyone insane enough to go with him, Mike eventually formed Turtle Racing with one Matt Wadler, who he met in the pub! 

Matt was the first person to join the team after Mike founded it, and became the second driver. Inspired by travel and adventure, Matt was quick to volunteer when he heard of the idea, and has so far organised most of the Corperate fund raising.
